in old ireland people would wear mantels (big coats/capes with hoods) that would keep the rain out. these coats would slowly and methodically be built up with layers of animal oil and sweat to make them even more waterproof (ew). i got confused about this recently, so when i was talking to K about how to protect ourselves from the flames during the correfoc (fire runs in barcelona) i said “what about covering yourself in vaseline?” and she said “covering yourself in petrol?????”
i hope you like these rejects…. u know when colour comes full circle from cheerful and becomes sickly… poisonous!!! poisonous hills for you… but on the other hand they look kind of appealing?
god the wind pisses me off so much. the wind in cork makes me murderous, the way it tunnels into your ears… evil wind. that said u ever feel a silky wind? now thats good stuff… a fine needle to thread indeed is the wind!!!

me and my mom, i love the dune grass, i love watching it move. also isn’t this photo lovely my dad has a very nice eye..and the light is so dusty, its perfect.
